New Discoveries

Yesterday Ana started nodding her head "yes". She's been shaking "no" for several weeks and has used it often to refuse kisses, hugs and bedtime, to name a few. Well yesterday, we were getting ready for nap time and I asked her if she wanted to read a book and she shook her head "yes" with what seemed like a lot of concentration to make sure she was going in the right direction. It's like she just suddenly realized her head moves up and down, and she used it all afternoon long yesterday. We wondered if she was really using it appropriately so we tried it out at dinner last night (Fremont Pizzeria after Ian's teacher conference, yummy!)...

"Ana, you want some pizza?"
shakes head "yes"

"Ana, you want some chicken?"
shakes head "yes"

"Ana, you want some french fries?"
shakes head "yes"

"Ana, you want to go to bed?"
shakes head "no"

By George, I think she's got it!
