Don't feel bad if you didn't know what today is! It's pretty obscure, but still very cool I think. Ana spent the first 255 days of her life in the arms of others. I am happy to report that today she has been in our arms for 256 days. We have tipped time in our favor, she has officially been home with us longer that she was without us. I just LOVE the thought of that!

256 is a very magical number, mathematically. In Calculus, we used to say the answer was either 1 or 256. 256 can be expressed as base 2 (2 to the 8th power). 256 is also 4 to the fourth power.
It all began with two, but it's so much bigger now.
How wonderful is that. I am glad that it was something that I did not know it was a wonderful surpirse.

You know Cammie, I keep thinking about this post and i have to say that i too measure time concerning Tim.....when we passed the first marker for how long he had lived at his home (2 years), then the group home (6 years) and currently we are narrowing in on how long he lived at "Laconia" (nineteen long lonely years) Dec 4th he will celebrate a full 17 years with our family..only two years to go!
That is a huge milestone. We won't hit that milestone until she's been with us 335 days, but it feels likes she's been with us forever.
